Spanish term

tras de las flores de una infancia y juventud cristianas

Non-PRO Spanish to English Art/Literary Idioms / Maxims / Sayings this sounds like poetic language
How would this be best translated into English? Tras de flores makes no sense to me. Thanks!

This is the title of an article.

Yes, it could be "after" Maybe the idea is that everything was sweetness and light when they were young, but then they had to fight oppression.

Tras de: Posterior en el tiempo o algo escondido? Puede ser algo temporal
Después de... After the...
O sugerir algo escondido...
Un rápido vistazo al extracto del artículo deja claro que es "después de" (lo más esperable) y descarta, salvo doble sentido voluntario o inconsciente, el sentido espacial de detrás de como algo escondido.

neutral philgoddard : Well done for finding the article. It's about a group of young Christians who fight against persecution of the church, but I'm not sure if your interpretation is correct.

agree AllegroTrans : This seems OK given that Asker hasn't given us any context and assuming that you have found her actual text

After the flowering of a Christian childhood and youth

Based on the discussion comments and a quick look at the source text.
I think that ‘flowering’ works better than just “flowers”…
Example sentence:

This “intensified sense of self was the seed that led eventually to the flowering of childhood

In the beautiful, well-tended flowering of childhood are the seeds of a healthy, happy adolescence

in the wake of a (idyllic) Christian childhood and youth

I feel this kind of construction would sound more natural. Finding the right adjective to convey the brightness and colourfulness is difficult though....
Might simply happy / lovely ...work?
