I understand what you mean about using the "business" term. Do you think " service activities" can stand for it? Organizational developments and Organizational follow-ups also come to mind.
I hope this can lead to an upturn somehow.

don't know and the answer as to what activities they organise is "we don't know", so we just say, like the source text, that they organise activities. they have language and intercultural skills, so they may be asked to show a foreign contingent around the company, around the town, take them out to lunch. whatever.

(OK Oliver has just informed us that this all the context he has) ''attività organizzativa'' seems to be part of the subjects of study or preparation to become professionals. If we just translate the phrase word for word in English it sounds as if we are expanding or enlarging the meaning of the phrese/word. Eg. Trade Unions activities; social/economic activities etc. In other words what activities do they have to organise is the question?

"...how the sentence follows" Actually there is no more context, this is the last sentence in a paragraph, and the next para talks about something else. FWIW the faculty being described teaches modern languages. Also, I'm wary of using something relating to 'business', as we have 'in azienda' earlier in the same list. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

aren't they preparing well aware professionists whatever their choice may be, giving you a list of choices one may opt for: company, teaching, research, diverse business organizzations .........in my opinion which gives a wide choice and may include cultural organizations(why not everything nowadays is business)........(I'd like to know how the sentence follows)

"professionisti" No manuel, i don't think these are "professinoals". sound more like newcomers to the business who may have the task of organising things like cultural activities.

management" too specific 10:02pm Aug 26 Sorry, Pauley, I desagree. Here, to organise is to manage more than to organise activities; that is to say that organisational activities sounds too ''weak'' to describe professionals in the various described fields etc,.

"management" too specific not sure i agree with saratraduzioni's explanation. if it's a generic term how can it then be translated so specifically as "management"? if they'd wanted to say "management" they could have even used the english term. you may be asked to organise a meeting or a staff outing. "management" would, IMHO, be pushing it as a definition here.

i'd go for a literal one here, ol. what they might mean concretely by the original is anyone's guess, though i don't see that it's a major problem. they might want to leave the defifinition open deliberately.

This way, interpretation of meaning of the phrase remains quite open, as intended, but still retains its context within the general meaning of the sentence.

Because in starting up a business we can think about the form the business will take. It can be Sole traders, Partnerhips, Franchising, limited, unlimited, Joint venture etc. So this term may be considered a general term to indiacate this concept. So maybe( in diverse "business organizations")
