Italian term

biologo sanitario

Italian to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy
Is this 'public health biologist'? There are very few Ghits for 'sanitary biologist', most from the US.
...

Discussion

Vincenzo Di Maso Aug 26, 2009:
esatto. Così lo percepisco anche io.
Cinzia Montina Aug 26, 2009:

http://www.sage.edu/academics/biology/programs/clinicalbiolo...

Science and Society - realizing the potential of new therapeutic targets
Darcey Black and Brian Henry (Schering-Plough Corporation, Motherwell, UK)

In the last few years, the phrase ‘from bench to bedside’ has become familiar in the titles of scientific reviews, research papers and scientific and medical research conferences. ‘Bench to bedside’ refers to a branch of research called translational medicine (or translational biology). The apparent growing usage of this term would suggest the development of a new paradigm in research in medical research. While this is true to a great extent, the concept and practical application, as we will see, was around in the pioneering days of biochemistry.

Note from asker:
thanks, this was also a good answer; the one I chose is slightly more relevant to my context.
