human biologist / biologist specialised in human health
I don't believe there is an exact parallel, but... the curriculum for biologo sanitario looks quite similar to that of the "human biologist"

clinical biologist
http://www.sage.edu/academics/biology/programs/clinicalbiolo...
http://www.dssap.org/modules/mastop_publish/

Science and Society - realizing the potential of new therapeutic targets
Darcey Black and Brian Henry (Schering-Plough Corporation, Motherwell, UK)
In the last few years, the phrase ‘from bench to bedside’ has become familiar in the titles of scientific reviews, research papers and scientific and medical research conferences. ‘Bench to bedside’ refers to a branch of research called translational medicine (or translational biology). The apparent growing usage of this term would suggest the development of a new paradigm in research in medical research. While this is true to a great extent, the concept and practical application, as we will see, was around in the pioneering days of biochemistry.
