Despite having my adbolcker disabled. Perhaps because my membership has to be renewed in autumn? (automtic renewal still disabled, renewal will depend on how things will be improved until then)
There are also some ad display preferences you can set, I just don't remember where they are in the ProZ settings jungle.

My F5 controls brightness and nothing else

Thank you Joseph. On my computer, the cross is in black and therefore not nearly as visible.
I couldn't even tell you what the ad is for, but I can tell you I don't like it popping up. Pop-ups are the most annoying form of advertising on internet.
