Yes, yes, yesssssssss :) Jan 25, 2011

I am very happy with my job. I am the boss, my own boss. Via tech., I can working from/to everywhere (maybe from luna too)

I love very very much. My childhood dream was being a translator/interpreter. I realized it.

I love it.

Very very veryyyyyyyy much

I love my job ... Jan 25, 2011

I have freedom and flexibility. I can work the hours I want and accept the work I want. I don't have to spend loads of time marketing or dressing up for business meetings. I can work from home, in my pyjamas if I choose. And nobody gets to tell me what to do. Perfect.

At least that's the theory!

I chose it, I love it, I feel always positive and willing to learn, improve, how many jobs could I have done with the same feelings?

I think it's one of the kinds of jobs that you can only really do if you love it. If you didn't like the process of translating it would be terrible.

very much so - I won't get rich but I do have a nice lifestyle - and I'm getting comfortable with it now

Yes Jan 25, 2011

I look forward to working. I am fascinated by the whole translation process, exploring the interface between two languages and cultures, and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something that is difficult to create and useful. So many people hate going to work, which makes me feel really lucky.

I look forward to working as well, so much that I can hardly wait to get up in the morning. The only aspect I regret is the fact that I work with several small jobs which require fast turnaround, and that sometimes leads me crazy. It would not be like this if we had a broadband connection in my area, but it seems we are still living in the stone age

If only new translators would be given a chance... Jan 25, 2011

.... then I would truly love it. Being ignored for any jobs because of little experience shatters anyone's confidence. At least employers should consider a translation test for us newbies to show what we have to offer. I have a passion for translation but the circle "no experience, no job" gets to you sooner or later.
But I'm still positive

Greetings from somewhere in Bolivia

I can be anywhere, I can work at any time, and I truly enjoy being able to create, to build, to elaborate, I love conveying the meaning of concepts, I love to try to follow the train of thought of the writers/authors... etc...

Cheers!

Rocio
