I am a proud graduate of the Maritime Faculty at Istanbul Technical University. My fascination with foreign countries and cultures has been a lifelong curiosity that dates back to my childhood.

This inherent curiosity played a crucial role in shaping my professional journey. However, as time progressed, I came to the realization that working as an oceangoing deck officer wasn't the ideal fit for me. Despite the incredible opportunity to explore numerous countries, I decided to pivot from this career path. I made the transition to working as a freelance dubbing and subtitling translator, collaborating with renowned post-production companies in Turkey, including Akla Kara, Saran Digital Studios, Akademi/Senkron, Ares Media, Bay Papağan, and others.

I served as an in-house translator/editor from 2013 to 2023.

A pivotal moment in my career unfolded during an ATA online meeting on February 9, 2023, where a seasoned and wise colleague shared invaluable advice. Encouraging me to explore freelancing, he said:

“Don’t be afraid; be brave. Think of an accordion. When you work in a company, it’s like you’re an accordion that’s been shut down and sitting on a shelf. When you start working freelance, you can open up and reveal your potential.”

These words resonated deeply, inspiring me to take a bold step. Now, as I celebrate my 20th year in the industry, I have decided to establish my own business. My aspiration is to build a reputable translation company with a global clientele, realizing the dream of connecting with clients from all corners of the world.
