Hi everyone,
I'm working on a Palestinian text and just wanted to confirm the meaning of this verb.
Here's the context:
كنتِ تنتحبين، وتَشرقين وتشهقين وترجفين، من وراء ظهري ومن أمام روحي التي كانت تستقرئك.
Does this mean in front/before my soul that was exploring/searching you?
It's a mother talking to her daughter here.
Many thanks!

delve into
My argument for "delve into" is it suggests (exploration, depth and involvement). The mother delves into her daughters' physical and emotional states to the extent she experiences the same and associates with the driving events. Her mesage is so powerful she and the daughter are almost One.
