German term

Der [Name]-Plan muss \"gelebt\" werden.

In that context it has no connection to the corporate philosophy.

EDIT: However it integrates some of the values which every employee and company should have. Like working thoroughly on the agreed plans/measures.
Steffen Walter Jan 30, 2017:
Sure but ... ... this named plan embodies the corporate culture/philosophy.
Lancashireman Jan 30, 2017:
Steffen In this context, it's a named plan rather than a corporate philosophy.
dkfmmuc (asker) Jan 30, 2017:

Steffen Walter Jan 30, 2017:

... but we must practice what we preach in XYZ

... but we must walk the XYZ talk.

XYZ must become part and parcel of our day-to-day business/activities/work.
Note from asker:
Die Ergänzung "must become part and parcel..." gefällt mir echt gut!
"become part and parcel" befindet sich nun in der Übersetzung.

Actively used/Practised extensively

This is one of those lovely catch-phrases that contains a multitude of meanings because it describes a QA 'ethos' that has to be practiced daily.

e.g. implemented, accepted, adapted, reviewed, improved etc

Example sentence:

The QA guidelines have to be practised extensively in order to achieve our QA goals

These guidelines need to be used actively in order to continually improve our QA processes

become second nature

become second nature / come as second nature

We tried to design the SOP's structures and train all staff in their implementation so that they would become second nature.
https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=qf8qeE8oLJYC&pg=PA61&dq=...

Good laboratory practice is safe laboratory practice and should come as second nature to all laboratory workers. It should not be viewed as extra to normal procedures, an additional and arduous planning task, or merely a paper exercise. Good and safe laboratory practice should be the norm where the health and safety of staff and students
is not compromised, or the integrity of the University infrastructure threatened by unsafe acts.

To address your other point, you could even try and work in something with live and breathe.

Let the documents live and breathe. As new practices are learned, the SOPs and LOPs need to be updated (via version control), otherwise they will quickly become outdated, lose their value, and the wrong inconsistencies will creep into how services are delivered. Train teams to make them their go-to reference for procedures, update them when necessary, and carry out an annual review to ensure compliance with ISO standards.

The typical H&S policy sets out the company’s position and looks to be proactive in its methodology to limiting risk within the workplace. But it has to be more than words, it has to live and breathe in every interaction between people, machinery and nature.

I suppose that non-native askers picking one of the cornier EN idioms on offer is part and parcel of the KudoZ experience. Massive vote of confidence from ENS for "become second nature". Did that count for nothing?
Peer comment(s):

agree Steffen Walter : ... in both letter and spirit.
