I believe that it is, as opposed to the hose uses for spraying, a hose to transfer liquid from the main sprayer tank to an external one. See also image below where it shows a green hose attached to the right side of the cabin (magnify image to see details). That is no (re)circulation hose. One end is not attached to anything that resembles a hose.
