Hi folks.

I have an ATM card from my bank. It states

"Gültig bis 2014"

Now what I want to know from the native German speakers is:

Does the card expire on January 1, 2014, or on December 31, 2014?

That is, is the card still valid for the entire year of 2014 or not?

My (German) bank sent me ... ... a new ATM/Maestro card a couple of weeks ago to replace my old one, which would have expired at the end of this year, and said "Gültig bis 2013" :-)
