I'm trying to verify if this means "vanilla-scented corn gnocchi" here. I've posted this question elsewhere but have not received a conclusive answer yet.

Any clarification would be much appreciated.

"Taco de txuleta con **gnokis avainillados de maiz** y alcochofa a la plancha".

Discussion

Ruth Ramsey (asker) Dec 12, 2013:
Maybe so. I actually thought maize sounded more American.
Wendy Streitparth Dec 12, 2013:
When I read corn, I think wheat, barley, oats etc. Would not maize be more appropriate for an English readership?

Philgoddard I was going to submit "vanilla correct gnocchi" but caught your comment. In My Opinion You Nailed it.

corn gnocchi with a note of vanilla

Without having tasted or seen them, they do sound like "vanilla-scented corn gnocchi", although I find the word "scented" doesn't quite fit in with something you eat...

The thing is that "avainillado" implies just a hint of vanilla and not necessarily vanilla flavor...
Note from asker:
How about "vanilla-flavoured corn gnocchi"?
Oh, I see "hint of vanilla" sounds good to me.
