German term
Schwerpunktthemen bedienen
German to English
Marketing
Advertising / Public Relations
Die Firma bediente alle Schwerpunktthemen der Messe gleichzeitig.
The company covered all the difficult areas at the same time at the trade show.
Context: trade show.
I'm not sure about "Schwerpunktthemen bedienen". Why "bedienen"?
Thanks!

to cater to/for [to cover] all (of the) key (trade show) topics/areas
The above appears to be one of the possible options in this context. "Schwerpunktthemen" has nothing to do with "difficult areas". The company in question dealt with all of the key trade show topics/areas at the same time (probably by the choice of its exhibits, workshops etc.), and "bedienen" just means "to cater to/for" or "to cover", as you presumed.

I assume that these "topics" or "areas" were determined and communicated by the trade show organiser in the run-up to the event.

: caters to/for [covers] all (of the) key (translation) options/variations // Not possible to cover all the bases; thesaurus.com always comes up with a tweak.

... covers all the bases, as our US counterparts would say. / ... as so aptly demonstrated by the other answer(er) ;-)

covered (hit) all major themes
"...covered/hit all major themes at once."
That might work. Hit is more colloquial but still okay in this context.

Example sentence from different context.
"While it hits all major themes, I think it didn't fully serve the purpose for visitors to learn and appreciate everything what made Australian wild life unique." http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g255060-d632150-r...

More tweaks. Perhaps, a little closer in nuances to "bedienen" than some of the other options..
"The company touched (hit) on/tackled all major topics at once."
Example sentence:
"Very good presenters, hit on all relevant topics."

: hit wouldn't work for a UK audience./Apologies, then that the UK has its own variants. I guess if you choose to translate into EN you'll just have to accept it. I've never heard it used in US EN either but will leave to native US speaker to comment.

Foiled again! I was hoping I didn't have to run this through a British approval committee since asker didn't specify the target audience...

I disagree. Run-of-the-mill expressions like that should work for almost any audience..

: Déja vu: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/german_to_english/marketing_market... // Themen (DE) and theme (EN) are not precise cognates. This context calls for topics/areas/issues.

I presume this is relevant?// You changed the topic but at least it's a relevant comment now. I agree that topic would be somewhat better than theme.
