: 'artist in residence' to me equals specifically 'visual artist' and here that is not clear (musicians IMO), also the use of 'artist' twice in the same sentence. IMO should be: working in residence for a week will allow the artists etc...

Artist in residence is more common, but this clearly refers to (folk) musicians. The first web ref is for a musician in residence at Wormwood Scrubs. It's not lcear whether you have to be an inmate already to apply.
