Spanish term

son como ellos a los que aman

Spanish to English Social Sciences Government / Politics
Could this be a typo?

typo Sorry! The author just confirmed that it should read: Es decir, los hombres aman a aquellos que aman y no
traicionan. A los leales.

men that are as those they love

If I'm getting the idea right the paragraph is a closure for the previous statement
Example sentence:

Friendship often happens between men that are as those they love

...like themselves, they love and...

men who are like themselves, who love and do not betray

I think it is missing a semicolon

In their circumstances and working against a regime that could take your life for being an opponent betrayal was the worst of sins. One of Alfredo Zitarrosa's (uruguayan) song says it

.......tú no pediste la guerra
madre tierra, yo lo sé
dice mi padre que un solo traidor
puede con mil valientes
