Change log

Mar 8, 2009 18:18: Andrea Winzer changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Mar 8, 2009 18:47: Kim Metzger changed "Field" from "Other" to "Marketing"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): writeaway, Ingeborg Gowans (X), Andrea Winzer

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

I like this one, too, as it fits well into the broader context, but I can only award points once. Thanks a lot for the effort!

an adventurous vacation / an exciting vacation

Take an Adventurous Vacation
Looking for a new and exciting getaway? Why not try something completely different for an overnighter, a weekend, or a week or longer? Escape the traditional inns and highways of modern civilization and head for the wilds of distant continents, faraway oceans, and breathtaking vistas. Go alone or take along a good friend or close relative. You can even join up with a group of new acquaintances as you explore the unknown in untold combinations and destinations.
At Intrepid Travel (www.intrepidtravel.com), you can have your choice of many unusual locations and activities. Whether you are at the beginning or intermediate level of a particular skill like canoeing or hiking, expert guides can design a trip to match you with likeminded travelers so that everyone has a good time. You will visit exotic, off-the-beaten-path locations and share the food and customs of the local inhabitants. Whether you visit New Zealand, Asia, or South America, there is a group of people waiting to experience new thrills that will not be quite complete without your presence.
Another agency that will build tours around your skills, interests, or abilities is Adventure Travel Tips (http://www.adventuretraveltips.com/). With the help of experienced guides, you can plan a delightful trip that will let you savor Old World charm or New World wilderness as you map an itinerary of challenging delights. Learn the geographical area that you will visit, find out how to pack and what to bring, and get the cheapest fares and hotel rates as well as the most indigenous conditions, if that is what you prefer. Otherwise, you can book lodging at competitive rates and take unusual side trips that are not for everyone that might include a European cooking skill, a mountainous bike course, a deep sea snorkeling dip, or an educational walking tour. You will meet the regular residents, take in local color, and experiment with an entirely different way of living than you have heretofore encountered.
Your adventure guide will point to helpful reading or resources as well as prepare you for packing and planning this unparalleled vacation. You may event want to talk a co-worker or friend into coming if you don’t have a special family member or pal to take with you. Why put off the adventure of a lifetime when you can work with travel experts to make it happen now? Trips like these are not as expensive as you might think. All they take is a little bit of forethought and organization to let the fun begin;

Note from asker:
Tanks a lot, would fit in another context, but adventure is a word I want to avoid in this context, as a big part of the target audience are older people and families.

Doesn't fit this resort? Then you've obviously got relevant context that you didn't share. ;-)
Note from asker:
Sounds good, but doesn't fit for this holiday resort. Thanks a lot!
Well, sorry, but I can't show you the pictures! But cycling, canoeing, hiking, bolloning and boat trips refer more to soft tourism (also older people and families) and not to extreme action which only adresses the very sportive or young people. Wouldn't you agree? But I know, how difficult it is in Kudoz. It often is a lot of guessing. Sorry, if I wasn't clear enough.
