Es una crema concreta que se realiza en heladería, sobre todo para helados de crema y otros lácteos.
Contextos en los que tengo que traducir este término:
(1) Preparar una crema blanca normal con el proceso de elaboración habitual, dejar madurar la mezcla y mantecar.
(2) una de las grandes familias de helado son los helados tipo crema. elaborados a partir de una base láctea. Entre estos destaca los conocidos como helados de crema blanca o helados de nata. Los ingredientes fundamentales para este tipo de helados son la leche entera, la nata, la leche en polvo desnatada, los azúcares y el neutro emulsionante.

Hi Lisa, I suggest Ice Cream Base as a translation for Crema blanca. I think it can be used in both contexts.
