Hi,
I've been using Wise for the last 5 years or so, and been immensely satisfied with it. But I was informed last week that they'll close down their operations in Turkey and no longer serve Turkish customers from 30 August (doubtless because of the messed up economy over here).

Hi,
I've been using Wise for the last 5 years or so, and been immensely satisfied with it. But I was informed last week that they'll close down their operations in Turkey and no longer serve Turkish customers from 30 August (doubtless because of the messed up economy over here).
So I need a payment system that is very similar to Wise, which will give me an EU IBAN, UK IBAN, ACH details for USD payments, AUD account details and so on.
I used Payoneer in the past with USD payments, and saw that they were charging extortionate fees and had a terrible customer service.
The good thing about Wise was that you'd get the exact amount, without any fees, into your Wise account (EUR or USD) and pay a minimal amount for transferring the sums into your bank account in your country. Payoneer seems to charge a fee for every individual transfer and then apply hefty charge (I remember it being as high as 50 to 60 USD for 2500 USD) when transferring monies into your bank account.
I've been using Wise for transferring EUR and USD into my EUR and USD bank accounts in Turkey, so I have nothing to with currency conversion, though occasionally had to convert USD into EUR to transfer EUR into my EUR bank account. So with that in mind, I need a good, reliable online EU and US bank accounts (I'm not sure if that's what they call "e-wallet"?) that will allow me to accumulate money in those accounts and to eventually transfer it into my EUR or USD accounts in Turkey.
I've heard of Currencyfair, Revolut, Transfergo (though I'm very skeptical about that one). I'd like to hear the opinions and experiences of those who use them regularly for getting paid (as well as those who use Payoneer for EUR payments, I'm not quite sure how it fares with EUR and GBP payments, as I said, my experiences with USD weren't very good). I'd like to know other options as well.
I'm particularly interested in the experiences and opinions of those transferring money from EU and USA.
Thanks

I also sent a support ticket Jun 25, 2023

because of this and something else... it sounds like Proz has a lot of bugs lately.
On Kudoz, I'm logged-in, but a pop-up window shows up saying I don't have permission to post because I'm not logged-in...
(Baran, sorry for hijacking your post!

It lasts for a few minutes only and then disappears.... crazy.

While we wait for the staff to help us... a song to entertain. Who knows if "miracles will happen as we speak":

Baran, have you ever tried PayPal? It works pretty well, with commissions not all that extortionate.

Use Prozpay Jun 26, 2023

I wil advice you coil all your payments to prozpay, then request prozpay to send your money to your bank account, thats easier i guess.

PayPal is quick and simple but in my experience they take a bigger cut than others do. After all, those millionaire rocket boys have to eat.....

PayPal is more favorable in some countries than others.

It's not only the cuts, they play big games with currency conversions. In some countries, it's not possible to withdraw in a local currency or to a bank account. The only thing I like about PayPal is its long tradition and history. I am very wary of the thousands of new payment services with no history, they just keep popping up out of nowhere.

Not Revolut Jun 26, 2023
