I have a page containing Arabic text in Adobe InDesign 2.01ME. When I export the page to EPS then open the new file in Illustrator 9, I get a blank page. If the page has a mixture of Arabic and English, I get only the English text. What gives? Can someone guide me to what settings I need to adjust? Thank you.
Fuad

Try exporting as PDF with all fonts embedded
Feb 10, 2003
Hi, Fuad. I have no direct experience with files with Arabic fonts, but you might want to try exporting from ID as PDF, with all fonts embedded (not subsetted).
You can then open the PDF in Illustrator.
(but why do you need to open the page in AI? editing is much easier in ID.)
HtH,
Roberta
