As far as I know only one: my most long-standing client started working almost at the same time I did and we have been together since. As for the others, I prefer being the last freelancer they work with rather than the first one…

So far, I have had at least 3 clients who had not worked with freelancers before. All were private clients who had a one-off translation to be done.

He contacted me to see what a human translation would look like v a machine translation. I never heard from him again.

Here's another example of a thoughtless question.
Do you really think your client will ever mention it to you? Maybe one or two, but in most cases you'll never know.
I've had two clients (in 30 years) who mentioned that I was their first freelancer. I also had some cases of private clients whom I know had never needed a translation service before.
Other than that, I may have been the first freelancer of several clients, but I'll never know.
