After obtaining the ESIT's translation degree, I began my
career in a big French IT company, first as a translator and senior translator
(4 years), then as a reviewer (3 years) and finally as a technical support
specialist (5 years). I then worked as a language specialist for a big American
software editor (4 years). Having thus acquired a strong linguistic and
technical background, I chose to become a freelancer and have been a happy one
for the last 18 years.
I am very keen on providing translations whose meaning will
be as clear as possible for their users and thus like to cooperate with my
customers in order to disambiguate the source text where necessary. I also
strive to maintain consistency within a document or a set of documents and am
aware of the tools that can be used to achieve this goal as well as of their
limitations. Having spent 16 years in big companies, I am used to comply to
business processes. Quality is something I do not compromise over.
