Đặc điểm
Cầu Cần Thơ – công trình lớn nhất trên Quốc lộ 1, được khởi công xây dựng tháng 9 năm 2004 ; dự kiến hoàn thành vào tháng 03 năm, 2009.
Vị trí của dự án
Toàn tuyến dự án dài 15,85 km với điểm khởi đầu tại Km 2061 trên Quốc lộ 1 thuộc huyện Bình Minh tỉnh Vĩnh Long, đi tránh Quốc lộ 1 và thành phố Cần Thơ, vượt qua sông Hậu ở cách bến phà hiện hữu về phía hạ lưu 3,2 km, nối trở lại Quốc lộ 1 tại Km 2077 thuộc quận Cái Răng, Cần Thơ.
Quy mô của dự án
Tổng mức đầu tư 4.832 tỷ (thời điểm 2001, tức là khoảng 342,6 triệu USD) bằng nguồn Viện trợ phát triển chính thức (ODA) của chính phủ Nhật và vốn đối ứng của chính phủ Việt Nam (khoảng 15%).
Dự án được chia thành 3 gói thầu:
• Gói thầu 1 là đoạn đường dẫn phía Vĩnh Long dài 5,41 km trong đó có 4 cầu qua kênh Trà Và lớn, Trà Và nhỏ, sông Trà On và vượt Quốc lộ 54. Gói thầu này do Liên doanh Tổng Công ty Thăng Long, Tổng Công ty 6, Tổng Công ty 8 thi công trong 42 tháng.
Translation - English CAN THO BRIDGE
Can Tho bridge spans Hau river and connects Can Tho city and Vinh Long province. It will be the biggest main-span cable-stayed bridge in South East Asia area when it is finished.
Features
Can Tho bridge – known as the biggest construction on National road 1 – was commenced in September 2004 and estimated to finish in March, 2009.
The position of the construction
The whole length of the construction is 15.85 km long with the starting point at Km 2061 on National road 1 of Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province. It passes the National Road 1 of Can Tho city and crosses Hau River with the distant of 3.2km from the existing ferry downstream. And then, it reconnects National Road 1at km 2077 of Cai Rang town, Can tho Province.
The dimension of the project
The total investment is 4.832 billion VND (in 2001, it was about 342.6 million of dollar) from the Official Development Assistance (ODA) from Japanese Government and from counterpart capital of Vietnamese Government (accounts for 15 %)
The project is divided into 3 packages:
- The 1st package includes the road in Vinh Long side which is 5.41km long. Among it, there are 4 bridges crossing big Tra Va channel, small Tra Va channel and National Road 54. This package will be implemented by Thang Long Corporation, Cienco 6 and Cienco 8 within 42 months.
- The 2nd package (the main bridge) includes:
The North shore bridge built by Super T dams is 0.52 km long.
- The main bridge with cable-stayed-structure is 1.010km long with the spans: 2×40 150 550 150 2×40, the bridge floor built from the mixture of steel dams and prestressed concrete.
The South shore bridge built from Super T dams is 0.88km long.
- Continuous beam cantilever casting bridge crossing Hau river is 0.34km long.
The total length of the main bridge is 2.75km.
The package will be implemented by the corporation of 3 Japanese contractors: Taisei, Kajima and Nippon Steel corporations within 50 months.
The 3rd package includes the road in Can Tho side with the length of 7.69km. There are 6 bridges over Cai Tac, Cai Da, Ap My, Cai Nai and Cai Rang channels and National Road 91B. This package will be executed by China Construction Corporation Ltd within 45 months.
The bridge’s width is 23.1 m designed for 4 lanes and two moving pedestrian paths. Each main lane’s length and moving pedestrian paths’ are 3.5 and 2.75m, respectively. Designed speed in the bridge is 80km/h and 60km/h in residential areas. Design standard is based on AASHTO LRFD process.
In general, Can Tho bridge has typical characteristics of a normal cable-stayed-bridge. Therefore, we just provide here its particular features:
- Peer footing includes auger-cast piles with the diameter of 2.50m and the height of 94m, which are considered as the highest piles executed in our country. Each pile has 45 tons of steel with 38 mm-diameter principal reinforcement of and nearly 500 cube meters of high- strength cement 30 Mpa. There are 30 piles in the North shore and 36 ones in the South shore. Auger-cast pile drills work basing on the rule of reverse continuous circulation of the fluid bentonite mixing with 5% of polymer. The piles in the North shore are executed onshore. Therefore, steel pipes which are 2.6m diameter, 22mm wide and 12m long are used as temporary well casings (they were removed after drilling). On South shore, the construction is executed undersea in the depth of 20m. Thus, 42m-length well casings are used (they were left there after drilling). After pouring cement, the piles’ feet are pumped cement grout using high pressure pumps to strengthen its supporting power.
- Pylon tower’s tall is 164.80 m from the water surface and 134.70 m from the bridge floor. The tower is in the shape of Y and its two feet are close to decrease the area of piles’ stand. This shape looks nicer than H-shaped piles. These piles are in the shape of 2 praying hands toward the sky according to Oriental spirit.
- Head’s frame: cable-stayed span’s length between two pylon towers is 550m; its navigational clearance is 39m tall (the corresponding width is 200m) which ensures that 10,000 DWT ships can easily come and go.
