My first inclination is "green cartridge", not "environmental cartridge". Both appear in Google searches. The former risks confusion with green-colored ink cartridges, but I like it for its trendiness. The latter lacks a certain cachet for me -- am I just being too snooty about using it?

Note from asker:
Thanks. However, the source defines a "miljöpatron" as either a remanufactured cartridge or one that is made using less environmentally-hazardous particles. |
Thanks very much. I'm going to use "environmentally friendly cartridge" without the hyphen. See http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/09002395.html for an example of this usage. The hyphen seems to be used when "cartridge" is used adjectivally, as in "environmentally-friendly cartridge recycling program". |

Tack! I like this somewhat better than "green cartridge". I'll see what else shows up here as suggestions before deciding. |
