Hebrew term

מוקד

Hebrew to English Other Telecom(munications) Security
This term is used in different contexts, in an internal report by a security company (COMPANY A) which runs a "Moked" ('security mnitoring centre')

The first context is the municipal מוקד, which is meant to be informed when the seccurity company deals with a "significant" event. Since such "Mokeds" are ususally general information centres, I think "call centre' might suffice.

However there is also a security firm (COMPANY B) whose "Moked" electronically-triggered alarms from sensors in various locations, and which notifies COMPANY A.

How would one translate this third type of Moked?

agree Textpertise : The literal translation of מוקד in other contexts is "focus". In security context Control centre is definitely correct.
