I'd prefer a more direct approach. For a register even the German is a bit too poetic for my taste. Considering English is usually more direct and shamelessly singing the praises of a product, you should have plenty of leeway.
As an aside - unless there is some fingerprint ID for the waiters involved (highly unlikely), I'd probably forego that in the translation and stick with the old-fashioned "touch of a finger"
