Command of General Staff

neutral Version Legal & Patent : you must differentiate between command and high command, the first being the command of staff for each brigade and the latter being the one relating to the Ministry of defense or the leadership of the entire army. Therefore High Commad must be used

General Staff Command

if it is the post being referred to, if the person is being referred to then it is "Chief of General Staff"

General Staff Headquarters

In Saudi Arabia, there are no official English names for government entities. There are common names, traditionally used and accepted, but do not expect to find one for everything, and do not expect to find consistency, even within the government itself.

Traditionally, the top general is called "Chief of the General Staff." His office may be called "Office of the Chief of the General Staff." The institution as a whole is called "Staff Headquarters" or "General Staff Headquarters." Start your search here:

Office of the Joint (General) Staff

Greetings.

Fuad gives the accurate equivalent Saudi term for the "main office" (adninistrative entity) of the senior military staff organization in the Ministry of Defense and Aviation (MODA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

FYI, the equivalent term in "American Military English" is "Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff" (OJCS) or more colloquially (inside the Pentagon), "The Joint Staff" or "JS" in "military staff-speak."

HTH. Khair, in sha' Allah.
