Вопрос непростой. Определения разнятся. Что ещё хуже - количественные характеристики тоже... Однако предполагаю, что имеется в виду среднечастотная импульсная электростимуляция с различной модуляцией импульсов, обычно именуемая в нашей физиотерапии "амплипульстерапией" или "СМТ-терапией". (СМТ - это синусоидальные модулированные токи).
Слово "амплипульстерапия" поймёт каждый отечественный физиотерапевт. (Меня, правда, оно всегда несколько обескураживало, поскольку "Амплипульс" - это название... аппарата.)
Поэтому, видимо, нейтральнее будет написать "синусоидальные модулированные токи".
Если же написать что-то вроде "среднечастотной электростимуляции", то не всякий поймёт, да и часть информации о физическом факторе потеряется.
