Hello, this terms seems to be used quite aa bit in English but I can't find any official translation in French. It's a term used in anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies. It is also used with GO which stands for government official. Hope this gives you enough context. Thanks in advance. the client does not have any more information.

in plain speak:

"a potential target for bribing" or

"an official worth bribing" - from the view point of those doing the bribing.

So if you own a lot of care homes, you look in the civil service / the government for those who could swing the legislation the way you want it. That would make the potential recipients of potential undue influence "PIGOs". A purely hypothetical example, of course.

disagree  AllegroTrans: It would be "DE gouvernement" and while this is a (nearly) correct direct translation I can find not find a single incidence of your term on the www

  -> "DE gouvernement"??? Last time I checked as a rule thumb there is a ONE and ONLY government per country + you really expect that EVERY SINGLE translation ever made has made it to the search engines? NONSENSE, new terms get created as needed all the time!
