You need to understand a little bit about my childhood.
Growing up we moved a lot.
I lived in 10 different locations in 10 years.
And as such, I was a very outgoing child, as were my sisters.
We wanted to meet new people, go to new schools, fit in.
We wanted to do the things that everybody else did and be naturally accepted.
And in doing that, sometimes we did things that we shouldn't have done.
But at the time I was 14, I had broken fingers, toes, arms, legs, both shoulders, my pelvis and my nose numerous times.
But when I was 19 years old and started my first *co-op*, I clearly didn't have the right safety mindset.
Within a few weeks of the job, my first task was to dilute acid.
I was fully suited up and performing the task, but took my hand up underneath the face shield and the acid that was on the tip of the gloves started to burn my face.

Если производственная практика закреплена в вашей учебной программе, то смело пропускайте этот абзац. По новым правилам разрешение на Co-op (производственную практику) имеют только те, кто учится в заведениях из списка. У всех, кто промахнулся с выбором в пользу заведений, не прошедших аккредитацию, права на производственную практику нет.
