Oct 18, 2016 18:16: Tony M changed "Field" from "Other" to "Social Sciences" , "Field (write-in)" from "Birth certificates (UK)" to "Teaching profession"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): Rob Grayson, writeaway, Germaine

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

hirselina Oct 18, 2016:

The idea of driving women out suggests that they are already in the teaching profession.

Over half of women teachers say they feel generally or very pessimistic about their future in the teaching profession, a women's conference organised by the NASUWT, the largest teachers’ union in the UK, has heard.

Gender inequality, combined with crushing workloads and attacks on their pay and working conditions, are threatening to drive women out of the profession.

Hundreds of women teachers from across the country gathered in Birmingham today for the NASUWT’s annual Women Teachers’ Consultation Conference to discuss the challenges they face and to attend a series of professional development workshops.

@ asker - I removed my answer because it was wrong. As Ormiston pointed out "drive out of" implies that this is about female teachers who are now active in education, not students who might be driven away from the profession.
Note from asker:
Hi THere was a comment by Ormiston to which I replied that seems to have vanished !! does any one know what happened to it ?
