Patel et al. demonstrated that patients taking single-pill combination amlodipine/atorvastatin were more likely to be *adherent and persistent* with therapy compared with patients taking a calcium channel blocker (CCBs) and a statin as 2 separate pills, over both 6 months and 1 year, based on pharmacy claims data.
