German term

Strafreize

German to English Social Sciences Psychology functional analysis of behavioral therapy

criminal? illegal? But I find it online with reference to training of dogs by negative reinforcement!

Discussion

Susan Welsh (asker) Aug 8, 2014:
yes Of course. That's how I know it's used with dogs. I eagerly await your suggested answer, since if I had found it by googling I wouldn't have asked the question.
philgoddard Aug 8, 2014:
Have you tried Googling this? The answer is on the first page.
Susan Welsh (asker) Aug 8, 2014:
addendum to text, for more context The next sentence reads:

(conditioned) aversive stimuli

As Phil seems averse to posting (too many bad stimuli in the past on this site?)

agree philgoddard : Maybe I should just answer and get the points, but it annoys me when people post questions without researching them properly first.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Andrew. Phil, we all know you get annoyed. Next time, just ignore the message please. I spent half an hour researching the term before posting. I got confused because I've done a lot of translations where "Straf--" is used in the context of the criminal justice system, including forensic psychology. I get annoyed when people who don't know me think I'm a fool."
