El término aparece en unas directrices publicadas por la Comisión Europea sobre la aplicación al campo de los seguros de una Directiva comunitaria (sobre la igualdad de trato a hombres y mujeres en el acceso a bienes y productos).
No sé si en este caso es más adecuado traducir "the legislature" como "el poder legislativo" o la "cámara legislativa". Aparece dos veces en el texto (pongo los dos contextos).
La traducción es para España.

No sé si en este caso es más adecuado traducir "the legislature" como "el poder legislativo" o la "cámara legislativa". Aparece dos veces en el texto (pongo los dos contextos).

Yo creo que "poder legislativo", "cámara legislativa" tb. son opciones viables en este contexto pero con un término más general como "cuerpo legislativo" iríamos sobre seguro.

"Legislatura" no es un conjunto de leyes. Esto es la "legislación"...

"legislatura" en inglés se dice "term of office, session" o "life of a Parliament" (para "legislatura parlamentaria") y "legislación", que es a lo que te refieres con el conjunto de leyes, en inglés se dice "legislation", "law", "laws", "body of statutes".
