French term

avec correction des troubles hématologiques à la suppression du médicament

French to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals
"Quelques cas de pancytopénie ont été rapportés chez des malades absorbant de façon chronique de l'acide acétylsalicylique, *avec correction des troubles hématologiques à la suppression du médicament*"

Does the "avec" here denote something like "in association with"? And the "à la" bit, is this perhaps "ranging to"?

The meaning escapes me here. I'm putting it down to the torrid temperatures in Berlin, and not my disintegrating brain...

with correction of haematological disorders when the medication is stopped

very roughly

over-consumption of acetylsalycylic acid can lead to blood disorders...so if you stop the medication these can be corrected.

this is my reading,

maybe you can express this better.

It is warm here too, and it definitely takes its toll on how the brain cells work, or not, as the case may be!!

agree NKW (X) : I actually think this is more accurate than my answer, inasmuch as 'these' does not appear in the source text.

disagree liz askew : It is essential that either blood/haematological problems/disorders is mentioned here. No mention of symptoms./ Thank you for your comment:)

yes, you're right "symptoms" should be replaced by "blood disorder" or equivalent
disagree Chris Hall : Maybe the wording is nice, but not to mention the word "haematological" is a serious translation error.

agree mimi 254 : haematological disorders disappear...
1 hr
agree Wendy Cummings : but I am with Liz and Chris - you need to mention haematological somewhere. Also note the distinction between signs/symptoms (signs are what a Dr sees, symptoms are what a patient feels)
