Danish term

vaerdirum, administrative og kreative rum

Danish to English Bus/Financial Management
...i balance og harmoni med virksomhedens fremtidige vaerdirum.

Det er vigtigt at skelne mellem det administrative og det kreative rum.

I'm not sure how to translate the Danish word 'rum' in this context? Thanks for your help!!

sphere

sphere - calls for a little re-formulation, but it is another suggestion.

I did think of scope - and rejected it, because scope may be wide, but implies its limits, and this is not an aspect you want to emphasise in relation to values.
In principle a sphere is limited too, but somehow a sphere may be vast enough to accommodate truly ambitious values ;-)

In balance and harmony in the sphere of the company's future values

It is important to distinguish the administrative and creative spheres

You may have to make different adjustments to fit the rest of the context.
Peer comment(s):

agree Judith Imbo : Agree with 'distinguish between administrative and creative spheres'; but for the first phrase would suggest 'in keeping with the company's values' (why determine a value will be only a future one?) - depending on context of course

agree Brian Young : maybe it should be "within the sphere--". The original text did say "future". Also, "distinguish between--".

space

"value space", administrative space, creative space. This sounds like an attempt to sound important, and use new age words. The Danes are good at making up new words. It most certainly should have been "værdi".

Christine's suggestion of "sphere" is also a good choice. Scope would not sound right. I think either would work.

"Sphere of influence" is a very common expression, as is "work space", "creative space". I would go with sphere in this case, but it is a close call.
