English term

'Come to the fore'

Not for points English Other Religion maatschappij & spiritualiteit
Context (from essay) : 'In Lilla’s view it is impossible to give a simple answer to the question why religion has come to the political fore so strongly.'

Is this OK, would you say ? Can I use the adjective like that ? Any alternatives ? (Thanks)

why has religion come to the political forefront

In Lilla’s view it is impossible to respond simply to the question: why has religion come to the political forefront in such a strong way/so strongly?

sounds better to me
