This descriptive text concerns the packaging of the injection moulded unit: ". . . Les caches brides sont emballés dans une gaine attachée sur la partie inférieure arrière [de l’unité] . . .
How are these two words being used here? Is this the same as "cache-bride"? Is "bride" an adjective here?
Insights please. Thanks in advance.

plugs
If not "clamp covers" or "tie covers" (as in cable ties), then maybe just "plugs".
Ever bought a washing machine, or a CD player or record player for that matter, and installed it yourself? For delivery, the drum/platen etc. is immobilized by bolts or a little plastic gizmo that has to be removed.
In the case of washing machines, there's usually a number of long bolts securing the drum. When removed, there is of course a hole in the back panel (though in some cases you have to remove the back panel to access the bolts) and it may be desirable to plug those holes.
Check out this Fagor instruction manual which refers to "cache brides" and "rear plugs" in this sense, I think.

Your ref. to "packaging" (for transport?) suggests this might be it.

Comment: "This is closest to the function being described - although we went for "bracket covers" as the final translation: I may not have given sufficient detail for contributors to be more specific (paranoia about confidentiality) - but we are talking about a very large injection moulding with anchor pieces inserted."
