ML - Mid-Level : JR/ML/SR
"I really appreciate all your efforts, but I'm going to need an acronym here...I have to fit the darned thing into a tiny little box, so it has to look like the original, that is JR/??/SR LAWYER. "
In this case, I would suggest mid-level or ML. ML is not really used
much as an abbreviation, but "mid-level" certainly is. But I think anyone could figure it out if is in between the Jr and the Sr.

ADVOGADO PL = ADVOGADO PLENO (FULLY QUALIFIED)
There are generally three levels to professions in Brazil: Jr. , PL, and Sr. when it comes to applying for a job, in either a governmental agency or private organization.
Pls are fully qualified professionals, much more experienced than Jrs. but not as experienced and qualified as Srs.

Hi,
I suggest you keep the Portuguese acronym PL, since it is so specific to the Brazilian culture and labor laws. If it fits, use the word full (lower case).
