: Just for sake of clarification. **claro quemado** It does not look proper to me.** I'm more in accordance with Chelin. However, **slash and burn** Deforestar y quemar seems to be ok. Gracias por la aclaración.

You would prefer for the asker to say "beekeeping among the slash and burn"? This would not make sense. Swiddens are cleared spaces, not the process of how they got that way.

Because the swidden is not the name of the agricultural technique, but rather the glade created by this technique. In other words, this is not the act of clearing, but the cleared area. Thanks for the agree, though.
