French term

ne pas représenter ses tâches

French to English Social Sciences Human Resources Performance appraisal of an employee
"Le candidat est arrivé en retard de 30 minutes. Au début de la rencontre, il exprime son désaccord avec l'évaluation du potentiel ***qu'il considère ne pas représenter ses tâches***."

Does this mean he disagrees with the assessment of his potential, which he feels is not reflected in the tasks he performs?

was not representative of his tasks

From a French site

Potentiel.....this is not Potential per se , I don't know what the translation is but the other is as above!

Il s'agit d'un pronostic porté sur un individu à partir des ressources (connaissances, savoir-faire et aptitudes) dont il dispose objectivement ainsi que des expériences (présentant des similitudes avec la situation professionnelle visée) qu'il a su gérer dans sa vie professionnelle. but Potentiel is not potential...otherwise one risks falling into "the potential not representing his tasks" and that would be a no go.

good luck..

potential does not correspond to the tasks he has been assigned

he doesn't think that an evaluation of "potential" logically corresponds to the tasks he has been assigned

for ex: good customer service (but he has no contact w/customers)

neutral Jane Lamb-Ruiz (X) : why don't you read the definition of what "potentiel" means in French? No one here bothered...

I know exactly what potentiel mean in French. They are still talking about some evaluation of what he migh be able to achieve based assumption about some work that was/will be (unclear here) part of his job description
