I am an MA student from the University of Portsmouth and am currently working on my masters dissertation studying the processes of current translators and how this applies to translator training. I have posted one survey for translators that 274 of you have taken, and now have one more for all project managers, clients, professors, teachers, anyone that works with translators, or employees at a translation organization. I am an MA student from the University of Portsmouth and am currently working on my masters dissertation studying the processes of current translators and how this applies to translator training. I have posted one survey for translators that 274 of you have taken, and now have one more for all project managers, clients, professors, teachers, anyone that works with translators, or employees at a translation organization. It consists of 6 multiple choice questions (should take less than 4 minutes to complete) and is of course completely anonymous.

Rather than the undefined acronym, I think Tom's puzzlement may have more to with the apostrophe used to signify plurality, which happens to be a big nono for some of the more pedantic among us, despite its acceptance in some circles.
To quote F. Zappa:
