Hello!
could you help me with understanding of TM in this case? I received word uncleaned translated file. After editing I need to send them cleaned word file and TM export.
Does client need TM generated from SDL or it can be from other CAT tool?
Thank you very much!

Trados?? Aug 24, 2011

Hello Zeljka,
I think you mean creating a TM export file with trados, or?!
If yes, it is very simple.
Just open your workbench.
1. open file menu
2. Select export
3. Click OK
4. save as type: you can choose txt or tmx
5. save.
That is it
Best regards,
Amira

I suppose you edited the translated file using a TM.
In this case you can obtain the export file form the workbench as I described in my previous post.

Trados 2007 Aug 25, 2011

Actually, I have Trados 2007 and have never worked with SDL studio 2009. If you have Trados 7, 2007 or even 6,5, just open the uncleaned file and create a TM (in case you do not have a TM delivered by the client). Open the first sentence with Trados and start to edit the translation. Close the string and open the next one... and so on. If you only have Studio 2009, try to post your topic in the SDL forum.
