Coming up soon in Barcelona (March, full details below) are two workshops on the corpus approach to developing a specialism.
Many people are of the opinion that being a specialist translator is one way to fight off recession: rather than being one in the pile - as they say in Spanish:-) - you float to the top, set yourself apart, offer a craft not a commodity, an added-value service not a generic good.
