This is from the same excerpt from Persian literature.

نمیدانم چرا وهم برم داشت. گوئی زود در یافت. خندید و گفت میترسی؟

I don't know why groundless fear ran away with me … He (the boatman) laughed and said, “Are you afraid?

In this case I am completely unable to make head or tail of گوئی زود در یافت.

Again, please indicate any ezafes (extra kasres between words).

گوئی which is can be used as گویا, doesn't have a very clear meaning in Persian! It means "It seems" or "it is felt".

دریافت comes from the infinitive "دریافتن" which means "to understand" or "to figure out".
