Novastra Translations does exist - see https://www.novastratl.com/contact
The problem is if the person who has contacted you does really represent this entity.
First of all, check the email address of the sender, as well as the reply-to address. Further checks to be done afterwards. | | | | Seems suspicious, indeed | Apr 14 |
I'd pay attention to his email address as well. It HAS to be @ something related to Novastra (pay close attention to spelling). If it isn't... Delete the email and forget about it.
Plus, there are more people in the forum talking about that company in specific. That might be one of those scams where they use the name of a real translation company. Be careful.

The existence of https://www.novastratl.com/contact ONLY proves that someone ANONYMOUS registered the domain name www.novastratl.com and created a website using a template without even bothering to fill it entirely.
That does not prove that there is registered business of that name - on the website vwww.novastratl.com there are no mention whatsoever of what is the legal form, the legal name nor the registered address of the business presenting itself as 'Novastra Translations'.
In practical terms, you have absolutely no idea who you are dealing with, nor who to sue if you don't get paid.
RULE #1: you can not claim money from an email address, nor from a website, ONLY from an identifiable individual or business.
Before worrying about IP / email addresses, worry FIRST about whether the business exists at all (i.e. is identifiable in RealWorld v1.0) and only then it's worth checking who exactly is contacting you.
With what's available so far, even an email from [email protected] is about as credible/convincing as a email sent by some prankster.
A working link to https://www.proz.com/forum/scams/371825-scam_alert_the_insightful_blueprint_translations.html explaining what's the point of the whole charade. Surprise, surprise 'insightbl.com’s server IP address could not be found' ... ▲ Collapse

For about two months now, I've been receiving different offers of translation and interpreting work from different people, contacts and emails, but I think it's always the same person.
This time, it was from Novastra Translations.
Colleagues, be on your guard!
Take a look at the offer I received below. I replied to the email asking for references, but so far I haven't received a reply.
