The requested languages, working both to and from English, include Albanian, Amharic, Bengali, Burmese, Dari, Farsi, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Indonesian, Khmer, Lao and Malay. The project volume is expected to be 10,000 words and 1,000 transcription minutes annually. Linguists applying for this project must be US citizens residing in the USA and willing to travel to the DC area periodically if needed (any travel will be reimbursed: travel to DC will not always be necessary for project assignments). Linguists applying for this project must also have passed proficiency tests acceptable to any one of the following organizations: Defense Language Institute, Foreign Service Institute, Department of Justice or Federal Bureau of Investigation.
