Bangladesh may be a land of ancient glory and various cultural heritage. Its large area is filled with diversity. Sonargaon could also be an excellent ancient town within the history of Bengal. For about 300 years, Sonargaon was the traditional Bengal capital. Sonargaon was chosen in light of the golden tradition against the background of the Sultanate era. Sonargaon's importance diminished following the relocation of its capital to Dhaka within Mughal Star Islamic Khan. Still, Sonargaon takes us to a golden past. With the generous efforts of the industrialist Zainul Abedin, an exquisite organization also referred to as the Bangladesh Folk Crafts Foundation, with the support and advice of the daddy of the province Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, keep the past memories in Sonagaon of history Sonargaon Museum. প্রাচীন গৌরবময় ও বৈচিত্র্যময় সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্যের লীলাভূমি বাংলাদেশ। এর বিস্তৃতি অঞ্চল বৈচিত্র্যে পরিপূর্ণ। সোনারগাঁও বাংলার ইতিহাসের এক গৌরবোজ্জ্বল প্রাচীন জনপদ। প্রায় তিনশত বছর সোনারগাঁও প্রাচীন বাংলার রাজধানী ছিল। সুলতানী আমলের পটভুমিতে আমাদের সোনালি ঐতিহ্যের দিকে পিছন ফিরে তাকিয়ে দেখতে বেছে নেয়া হয়েছিল সোনারগাঁকে। মুঘল সুবেদার ইসলাম খানের সময়ে ১৬০৮ সালে ঢাকায় রাজধানী স্থানান্তরিত হওয়ার পর সোনারগাঁয়ের গুরুত্ব ম্লান হয়ে যায়। তথাপি সোনারগাঁও আমাদেরকে নিয়ে যায় সোনালি অতীতের কাছে। ঐতিহাসিক সোনারগাঁয়ে অতীত স্মৃতিকে সামনে রেখেই জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের পরামর্শ এবং আর্থিক সাহায্যে শিল্পাচার্য জয়নুল আবেদিনের আন্তরিক প্রচেষ্টায় প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় গৌরবদীপ্ত প্রতিষ্ঠান বাংলাদেশ লোক ও কারুশিল্প ফাউন্ডেশন যা সোনারগাঁও জাদুঘর নামেও পরিচিত। বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী লোক ও কারুশিল্পের সংগ্রহ, সংরক্ষণ, প্রদর্শন ও পুনরুজ্জীবন করার লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে ১৯৭৫ সালের ১২ মার্চ সরকার এক প্রজ্ঞাপন বলে নারায়ণগঞ্জের সোনারগাঁয়ে বাংলাদেশ লোক ও কারুশিল্প ফাউন্ডেশন প্রতিষ্ঠা করে। |
