その後、アイデア検討会、実現可能性検証、というプロセスが続きます・・・。

To Keijiroh Yama-Guchi: The New Oxford American Dictionary says: "1 a spontaneous group discussion to produce ideas and ways of solving problems." And the 大辞泉 says: "自由な雰囲気で、他を批判せずにアイデアを出し合い、最終的に一定の課題によりよい解決を得ようとする方法。"
Regarding "ideastorming", it may be a newly coined word for things "more" specific (if that can be) than the above definitions, but besides for the UK reference document and a few Taiwanese web sites on Google there are very little traces if its use. Speaking of Google, if you look at the last page it proposes for "ideastorm", you see a grand total of 600 or so hits, plus the word is not even defined in a dictionary. So, unless there are good reasons to use a neologism for something that is basically an attempt at avoiding a katakana word as a replacement for a relatively expressive kanji expression, I don't see why "brainstorming" is wrong.

Ideastorming - A way of quickly gathering a large number of ideas. Start by stating the issue. Ask people to say whatever comes into their heads as fast as possible - without censoring it. This encourages creativity and frees energy. Write down all ideas for later discussion.

Discussion
ideastormingは、より幅広くアイデアを出し合い、直面する問題の全体像をまずつかむための手法だと思います。
以前参加したワークショップで、同様のやり方でgroup discussionをやったことがあります。
ideastormingで抽出した問題について、さらに話し合いを行いますので、ideastorming自体は、議論の入り口というイメージがします。
それに対して、brainstormingは、問題の抽出に加えて、問題の解決につなげるための掘り下げた議論を行うことまでを含んでいるように理解しているのですが、正しいでしょうか？
「アイデア発掘会」は、開発するべき製品を具体的に掘り下げて絞り込むところまで含んだ議論になると思いますので、brainstormingの方が適しているように考えます。
ideastormingという言葉は今まで知らなかったので、とても参考になりました。
