je bloque complètement sur cette expression "1:2 auto-switched redundancies". Quelqu'un pourrait-il m'éclairer sur la question ?

Contexte :
All antennas are equipped with 1:2 auto-switched redundancies for modulators and amplifiers, de-icing and an auto-tracking system to ensure an accurate pointing towards the satellite for delivering data and video services with the highest quality at all times.

Toutes les antennes sont équipées d'un système de commutation de redondance automatique 1:2 ???

Some thoughts... I'd have said it was more like 'redondance à commutation automatique'; as for the 1:2, I'm not familiar with this expression, but my guess would be that it refers to the fact that each device has not one but two back-up devices assigned to it. We talk about "100% redundancy" when every device is backed up by another one; so I can only suppose this is referring to "200% redundancy" — real 'belt-and-braces' stuff, this, but it looks like it's pretty mission-critical!

disagree GILLES MEUNIER : Selon moi, c'est la commutation qui est automatique ou auto-commutation...auto s'applique à switch à 100%. Vous traduisez auto-redundant systems. Ce qui n'est pas le cas ici...Il faut traduire auto-switched par commutation automatique
