(film, idiomatic) A motion picture without serious dramatic content, a weighty message, or intellectual depth, which serves simply as enjoyable entertainment.

How would you call a popcorn movie in French? The only word that comes to me is "nanar" but a popcorn movie isn't necessarily a bad movie. Thank you for your help!

  -> Oui... j'ai trouvé "Alien" ou "6e sens" pour ce genre de films (entre autres) donc je ne vois pas du tout le "grand public"... Et ce n'est pas comme si "popcorn" n'était pas utilisé dans la langue française.
