El año pasado me llegó por mensaje de texto la foto de un "compañero de causa" quien fue asesinado.

Es handelt sich hier um jemand, der an Demonstationen gegen die kolumbianische Regierung im Rahmen eines nationalen Streiks teilgenommen hat und deswegen umgebracht wurde. Wie übersetzt man "compañero de causa" ins Deutsche hier?

Im Voraus danke ich Euch Allen herzlich für Eure Antworten und Hinweise auf meine Frage, da ich bisher leider nichts Überzeugendes gefunden habe.
